Where did the weekend go?
here I am!
...watching Ricky Lake, drinking some C2, and finishing off a bag of Haribo Gummi bears. I'm being a bum and no one can stop me!!!
I had to take Chester to the vet today. (For anyone who might not know, Chester is my little box turtle I've had for a year. He's my little pet.) Anyway, I noticed yesterday this gash on his leg! It looked swollen so I thought it best to take him in.
Yeah...anyone want to guess how much his little trip to the vet cost? What? Twenty dollars you say? Ohhh, don't humor me! I'm almost embarrassed to reveal it! But try something more like one hundred and eighty three dollars. And guess who's not joking...
I thought I was going to faint from shock!
On a brighter note, Cory and I finally ventured out to the amazing...the gargantuan...the "I feel as giddy as a school girl to be here!"...IKEA. For those of you who haven't been, just picture a store as big as maybe 4 or 5 Home Depots with the best deals ever on the cutest home items!! And you can even eat lunch there!! Now, is that up my alley or what? Let me tell you...I had a ball! A ball! And yes I am aware that this puts me in the That's A Little Weird category, and...I'm okay with that.
Ahhhhhh, it's been a long day and Sangria pitchers are only $7 at Andie's tonight. Hmmmm. Maybe I should give Wendy a call...

I still haven't been to IKEA. I have to admit -- I'm almost a little afraid!
w
Ikea, eh? I'm glad you liked it.
Until your report, I'd only heard that that their products were "laughably modern (I mean *really* quite laughable)," and "to be thrown out in a matter of years, and functionally questioned in just a few months."
Thanks for setting the record straight. You must be thrilled to have all that great new furniture in your home. I bet your husband is even more excited.

Sorry for the costly gash on my leg. I can explain. I had a few friends over to visit my beach the other day, and our volleyball game got out of hand. Sorry for having guests without permission...but can you blame me?! I love this sandy nirvana you've created, but I'm getting, like, ZERO ACTION in this place.
Where are all the ladies?
How come nobody takes me out for $7 Sangria?
Where's MY iBook?
And Damien Rice? C'mon! It's not like I don't fit snuggly in your pocket -- why can't I go along?
Random Wanderer--- No furniture from sweet IKEA, only little fun things like a rug and curtains and candles. Althought I would enjoy a house full of new furniture, but probably not from IKEA. I'd have to agree with you in that it would probably be of somewhat laughable quality. : )
Chester---When did you learn how to use my laptop?????
