The aliens have returned me!

Oh my Gosh, I haven't been able to get online since last... I don't even know when! Too long! I thought my teeth were going to fall out! (Not really, but how often can you just throw that into a sentence?)

So, we've had connection issues and they are finally somewhat almost resolved..enough at least to let me online for a bit.

So here I am. And what a week it has been. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday. Thank. Goodness.

My car didn't start last night as I was getting ready to leave work. So convenient. My co-worker jumped my car- but that didn't work! So today I had to have my car towed. (The last thing I wanted to add to my To Do list: Have car towed for a million dollars.) Actually my dear friend who works at a car place hooked me up so I didn't have to spend my whole day's earnings. Thank you Chris.

But taking the train this morning was so ridiculous. Freezing, raining weather...mushy leaf covered sidewalks. Too much for me today. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half if I take the train into Evanston where I work. If I drive...20-25 minutes. Kills me. (I just stared too long at the word Kills to where it now looks like foreign gibberish. It so weird when that happens!!!!)

Meeting Billy Corgan was less than I thought it would be. He looked, well, pasty...and a bit on the extremely skinny side. He had this pseudo scraggly beard growing...I don't know. And the whole thing was also on the over professional side. You get to the head of the line, a woman nicely takes your book from you and opens it to the page Billy will be signing. She then hands him the book, you walk up to the table as he signs it and then you take your book and leave. Not terribly exciting. Most people said nothing to him or a quiet thank you. I told him how happy I was that he had written a book of poetry and that I couldn't wait to read it. He said thank you and smiled at me.

So no great, please have my children- inscription, but it was still cool to meet him. And the book was okay. I thought it would be fabulous, but it just didn't tickle my fancy. What can you do.

Go get a snack, that's what you can do.

The kitchen is calling...
