Speaking of being ridiculous...

On my way home from work yesterday, I was listening to this beautiful piano sonata on the radio, and when it ended, the announcer revealed the name of the song, but he said it so fast that I missed it. So what did I instinctually do?? I pressed my thumb into my steering wheel...as if it were my Tivo remote, in an attempt to rewind what the guy had said. Yeah. And the worst part of it all, is that after I pressed my steering wheel (God, I feel like a dork just typing it!) I literally thought to myself for a good 3/4 of a second..."Why isn't this working?"

(sigh) I need a vacation...

You don't understand I try this all the time! I find myself multiple times daily thinking in my head I need to rewind that or fast foraward through these commercials. The tivo has ruined it for me! I hear satelite radio allows you to rewind. I need such technology!

Lost it??? I've lost nothing, anonymous...except my much needed school folder that I swear I just saw the other day. But that's neither here nor there.

I am realy glad I'm not the only one that does this! Everytime it happens,
Angelina tells me I'm an idiot. You understand me so much better than she ever will.

I have tried to rewind real life before. Like Maizie doing something so I can show Ken:
ME: (she watches her daughter do something incredibly cute and hilarious) Ken! Did you see that?!?!

KEN: No. What happened?

ME: (she lifts her arm to point the remote at her daughter. realizing her mistake she quickly lowers her arm and stares aghast at her husband) Oh my god I can't believe I just did that.

KEN: Did you just try and rewind our daughter?

ME: Yeah, I think so.

KEN: You are a moron.
