Chinese Water Torture

I got home this morning after dropping the boys off at school and started packing a bit when i heard this...sound...faint but annoying is how I would best describe it. I stopped and listened intently, my head cocked to the side, (because obviously you can only hear really well, while in this position) and realized the sound was coming from outside my window. (Keep in mind that my window is closed.) I looked out to see the window that is directly across from mine on the other building..wide open..with someone's alarm going off. (Not house alarm, but beside your bed alarm.) I thought, oh forget about it , and went back to packing. But not even a minute later, the sound was making me crazy. Obviously whoever lives in the building beside me, hit snooze and then left. I thought, is this alarm going to go off ALL DAY???

So I go to another room to pack, even though I really need to pack in my bedroom. Then I leave for about an hour, come home and...the damn alarm is STILL GOING OFF!!! I had always wondered if an alarm was left on, just how long it would go. And now I know. On and on and on. Forever and ever. Annoying everyone around. I can't even imagine what the people inside the building are dealing with. Banging on the ceiling, knocking on the door..but guess what folks? Nobody's home.
