Dear Monday,

I don't appreciate you sneaking up on me like this. I was having a really good weekend, for the most part, and, well you just haven't learned any manners yet, have you? It's not polite to sneak. At least bring me some doughnuts and milk. Something!

I was watching a show on my lap top tonight and since the sound that comes out of it is only loud enough for a mouse to hear, I had in my earphones.

Then about an hour after the show had ended, I realized I still had the earphones in- even though I hadn't been listening to anything...for an hour..I was just checking my email and random things that don't require any listening capability, and yet there I was...with headphones on...like an idiot. And what makes this story even more sad, is that this is the second time I have done this.

It's thursday night...

... and I'm drinking some wine, and wishing that somehow some Chinese food would just magically appear on my lap, and I'm watching Grey's (even though it is ANOTHER RE-RUN! Why are you such a tease, Grey's???) And I'm tired. Really tired. And I'm eating tea biscuits to suppress the need for Chinese food and the lack of cable TV and the lack of...well, so many things, it seems.

It's almost Easter, and for once I'll be doing nothing. No church, because who wants to go to church alone, and no easter basket filled with little treats, because I don't know anyone who gives little easter baskets filled with little treats. Even though I love little treats. So very much...

I really need cable. Or some chinese food. Or some kind of fabulous distraction this evening. But I am afraid it will just be me and chester on this cold Good Friday eve...

So, it's thursday night.
And I'm drinking some wine.
And the tea biscuits...


just aren't cutting it.
